No personal data. No trackers.

On your device

Everything personal to you — your progress on today’s puzzle, your settings, your unlock — is stored locally on your device and never leaves it. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs of any kind.

The one thing we count

The app reports a single anonymous figure back to us: that a puzzle was played, and whether it was finished without mistakes. Nothing more. These counts are aggregate and cannot be tied to you, to your device, or to each other — they exist only so we can know how many puzzles the world played today, the way a newspaper knew its print run.

Your approximate country is inferred from your IP address at the moment of the request and is not stored alongside anything else. There are no advertising identifiers, no cross-app profiling, and no trackers — because nothing personal is collected in the first place.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is processed entirely by Apple. We receive no personal information about you from a purchase. Apple’s handling of the transaction is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds nothing from third parties — which is why there is no cookie banner.

Like any web server, ours writes brief technical access logs (IP address, requested page) as required to operate and secure the service. They are deleted automatically and not evaluated.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and export personal data held about you. Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to export and nothing to delete. If you have questions anyway, write to us.
